It’s funny how when you go to an underdeveloped country, you think that “their” way is not as good as “your way.” My thoughts have run along these lines: |

Feeling a little down… as well as run down. Today was a waste. Not much input into kids. Slept a lot. Studied some. C feels ignored and is effected by my mood. He thinks I’m angry at him but not really. Lord grant me wisdom and the will to follow through. Minu wants to sleep with me. He’s waiting for his half b-day which is in about 2 weeks. He’s a great kid. I wish I could do more for him. A day or two ago, he got upset with Bikky and started thinking of ways to get rid of her. His number one plan was to throw her over to the neighbor’s house to the back of us. He figured that he can’t do that to the neighbor’s houses to the left or right of us since they both know that Bikky is our dog. Smart kid. Instead of my usual lecturing, I said that I would be very pleased if he got rid of Bikky for me since I consider her a nuisance anyway. I asked him if he was going to get rid of her today and he said he thinks he’ll keep her. Kids had their first Korean lesson with Kalus, except for Neal. |

We’ve been in K- six months now and I feel depressed at the lack of progress in my language learning. I study extremely diligently, partly to compensate for my shrunken brainpower. My reading skill is coming along so-so. Writing is terrible, listening is worse and speaking is worse still. The kids fight a lot. Do they really fight a lot or does it only feel like they do? They’re rude to each other. I MUST be respectful to everyone in our family to set the sample. How hard it is to be the mother of a believing family! |

Journey to Kyrgyzstan What an amazing journey it was! ALL my worries about the the additional luggages were unrealized. ALL my worries about our visas were unfulfilled. We had wonderful peaceful flights. Here's a short summary: |
